Whether or not I can get that feature, I'm delighted to know about using mosaic, and I agree that the spray can can also be useful here. Is there any chance that a feature like this is/will be possible in HyperSnap? Someone wanting to know how to use the interface being illustrated here would find it helpful to have a sense of the whole picture while still having attention clearly focused on the middle. Īs you can see, the top and bottom parts of the image are blurry, so as to highlight the middle part, but both the top and bottom are nonetheless recognizable. Filter by these if you want a narrower list of alternatives or looking for a specific functionality of HyperSnap. HyperSnap alternatives are mainly Screenshot Capture Tools but may also be Screen Recorders or Screen Casting Tools. I'd also love to see a true blur effect, something like the image here. Other interesting Mac alternatives to HyperSnap are Snagit, CloudApp, GoFullPage and CleanShot X. Fix: dragging out image thumbnails from HyperSnap was not saving them to Windows folders. Fix: Escape key was not aborting region auto-scroll capture. HyperSnap can take auto-scrolling captures, automatically save your captures and even upload them to FTP. I think I prefer the mosaic effect, though both methods can be useful. Fix: active image tab text was not correct after 'Save selected' operation. HyperSnap is a screen capture tool for Windows with editing, annotation and manipulation tools. Until you suggested that, I had in fact done what Thomas has suggested, namely, cover over what I didn't want with the spray can. Greg, the Mosaic, combined with "Select Area," works quite well, especially for instances where I'm concerned about privacy. Thanks Greg and Thomas, for your helpful responses.
